From Aerial to Acro, Hooping to Fire, workshops offer a great way to augment and expand your knowledge! Act Creation: Aerial Improv

Saturday January 19, 2019 3:15 - 4:45pm $25

This is an all apparatus/all levels workshop where we will focus on setting a tone and working with a theme for an aerial performance. Through various improvisational exercises and games, you'll learn new ways to connect with your audience on a deeper level. This workshop is also just a ton of fun even if you're not ready to perform yet and want to experience a different type of aerial class. Spinning and Momentum: Multi-Apparatus Workshop

Saturday January 19, 2019 5 - 6:30pm $40

This workshop is for students with some aerial experience on silks, lyra, hammock, or rope. We'll cover the basics of spinning on the ground and in the air and go over which positions work best when spinning. We'll also work on skills that generate momentum and explore how to take advantage of it to move more efficiently through the air. Students on all apparatuses should be able to invert from the air with bent arms and straight legs as well as have a comfortable hollow body hang. Fall in love with Flying

Join us as we all fall in love with the flying pole. 

It is truly a unique aerial apparatus that combines both fabric and bar skills with swing and spin! This multi-level workshop is perfect for students of all levels. The workshop will focus on climbing, pole sits, pole poses, and inverted poses. Then adding some spin and swing! 

Students will leave with a fun and fabulous video of their routine so they can share the love 

For the most success in the class please wear shorts that allow for thigh grip and a short sleeved shirt or tank top. No lotions or oils on skin the day of the workshop

Rebecca creates a warm and flexible class atmosphere to ensure each yogi gets exactly what they need from their hammock.

Functional Dynamics on Rope w Erin

Saturday March 9 3:30-4:45pm $45

Dynamic movement such as beats adds power and punch to your aerial work, but can be very tiring and inaccessible. In this workshop for rope we will explore various kinds of beats, quick transitions, and unexpected entries and exits, as a way of building maximum technique and efficiency for any vertical practice. Students should have a straight leg hip key in the air, be able to invert multiple times over the course of an hour, and be able to hang by hands in a straight arm position for 10 seconds.

Tightwire Walking for Beginners w Erin

Saturday March 9 5-6:15pm $45

Tight Wire Walking is a traditional circus art performed on a narrow metal cable under tension. It is a challenging mental and physical activity of balance and focus. This workshop will teach various steps, poses and techniques for fluid movement on a safe 2' wire above the ground, while being spotted by an instructor. This is a class for students interested in dance, posture, balance, and aligning brain with body. Wire dancing is as much about mental calm as it is physical stability. No prerequisites, all levels are welcome. Soft soled shoes such as ballet flats are highly recommended (available at payless or online for cheaper)

The workshop will focus on climbing, pole sits, pole poses, and inverted poses. Then adding some spin and swing! Students will combine these moves into a personal and creative sequence.

Hey folks! The time has come... to learn to juggle! Believe it or not, learning the basics of juggling is pretty simple. In this workshop you'll learn the most basic juggling patterns with scarves and balls, and maybe even some more advanced patterns to take it further. It's a great skill to have and its tons of fun. Go big or go home! ;) All the big moves, drops and totally wild transitions you can handle all on one place!

The allure of fabric is truly multi-dimensional. It’s beautiful, tactile and confusing. It can seemingly defy physics. Wraps, shelves and connections can appear and disappear in an instant. Complex but stable architectures are constructed out of nothing. 

In this workshop we will explore some really fun examples of knots, hitches, releases, wraps and fabric theories that simply DO NOT SEEM POSSIBLE or are totally surprising to even an educated eye.
