Functional Dynamics on Rope w Erin

Saturday March 9 3:30-4:45pm $45

Dynamic movement such as beats adds power and punch to your aerial work, but can be very tiring and inaccessible. In this workshop for rope we will explore various kinds of beats, quick transitions, and unexpected entries and exits, as a way of building maximum technique and efficiency for any vertical practice. Students should have a straight leg hip key in the air, be able to invert multiple times over the course of an hour, and be able to hang by hands in a straight arm position for 10 seconds.

Tightwire Walking for Beginners w Erin

Saturday March 9 5-6:15pm $45

Tight Wire Walking is a traditional circus art performed on a narrow metal cable under tension. It is a challenging mental and physical activity of balance and focus. This workshop will teach various steps, poses and techniques for fluid movement on a safe 2' wire above the ground, while being spotted by an instructor. This is a class for students interested in dance, posture, balance, and aligning brain with body. Wire dancing is as much about mental calm as it is physical stability. No prerequisites, all levels are welcome. Soft soled shoes such as ballet flats are highly recommended (available at payless or online for cheaper)
