Ages 6 - 12 Years Old Circus Youth Aerial Class

All levels welcome, students can expect to spend the majority of class time learning and refining aerial moves from basic to more advanced depending on the skill level of each child.

 

Beginner Mixed Aerial

Our most popular and successful class for 10 years running!!!

Beginner Mixed Aerial is perfect for anyone interested in learning aerial acrobatics. Our instructors work with every student at their own level and at their own pace, making this class perfect for every body! The first five weeks of the series will cover unique and exciting syllabus material on two different aerial apparatus (such as trapeze and silks). During the last three weeks we will review material and work on routine building for those students who are interested.

 

Beginner Silks and Hammock

This class introduces Aerial Silks & Hammock in a fun and inviting way. Learn essential techniques, proper form and some fun tricks. We'll play with different mounts, climbs, sequences and shapes. No experience required!

 

Beginner Lyra

This series is your 101 introduction to Lyra, also know as Aerial Hoop. The series will focus on proper technique and foundations necessary to become more competent and confident on the lyra. Students will practice mounts, dismounts, proper placement and balancing. Foundational moves and sequences will be emphasized to allow students to build a strong Lyra repertoire. No experience required!

 

Beginner Silks

Looking for a basic level class on just silks but don't know where to start? This class is the perfect entry level class to learn essential techniques, proper form and fun tricks within your level of ability. We'll play with different mounts, climbs, sequences and shapes. No experience required. 

 

Beginner Trapeze

This class is an introduction to both Static and Dance Trapeze. The series will focus on proper technique, strength training and repetition on both sides of your body to build confident and ability on the Trapeze. Students will practice mounts, dismounts, static tricks, dynamic moves and balancing. In addition, class will focus on strengthening the body through core, upper and lower body training. Straight forward, simple sequences and repetition will be emphasized to allow students to build a strong Trapeze foundation. Expect to leave class with that good "worked out" feeling. No experience required!

 

Beginner and Intermediate Mixed Aerial

All the fun of beginner mixed class, but with an added opportunity for more experienced students to take things further. While still working with each student at their own level, instructors will group students according to their skill and experience so that more advanced students can explore more difficult material. During the last three weeks we will review material and work on routine building for those students who are interested.

 

Beginner and Intermediate Aerial Sampler

The perfect class for new students looking to try a little of everything or for more advanced students to take things further! While still working with each student at their own level, instructors will group students according to their skill and experience so that more advanced students can explore more difficult material. Students will spend the first half of the series learning exciting material on two unique aerial apparatus (like silks and trapeze), and the second half of the series learning on two additional apparatus (like hammock and lyra) What more could you want.

 

Beginner - Intermediate Lyra

The goal of this class is to help students feel more competent and confident on the Lyra by focusing on intermediate tricks while also sequencing together beginner-level moves. Foundational poses and transitions will be emphasized to allow students to build a strong Lyra repertoire. Some Lyra experience necessary; students must be able to mount and dismount the lyra without assistance.

 

Beginner - Intermediate Rope

This is an introductory aerial rope class. The series focuses on dynamic technique and the use of momentum, c-shaping and roll-ups, Although it is an introduction of rope, it is recommended that students that come in have an intermediate level on another class to get the most out of this apparatus. Students should be able to invert unassisted on their apparatus of choice. An intermediate level on another apparatus is recommended. Not sure if this class is for you? Beginner - Intermediate Straps

This is an introductory aerial straps class that is sure to challenge students of all levels. Students will work on fundamental skills with a strong focus on conditioning, spinning technique and body awareness that will carry over to other apparatus. Some aerial experience or other athletic backgrounds recommended. No current shoulder injuries.

 

Beginner and Intermediate Vertical Mixed Apparatus 

A multi level multi apparatus class for those who want to try something familiar and something new! Students will alternate weekly between silks, rope and straps. And work on sequencing, spinning, dynamic movement, and skill building.

 

Intermediate Lyra Sampler

Love lyra and want to take them all for a spin? In this intermediate level class you will have the opportunity to explore various types of hoops such as; single tab, double tab, lollipop and trap-lyra.

The focus will be on intermediate level tricks and transitions. Lyra experience necessary; students must be able to mount and dismount the lyra without assistance.

 

Intermediate Silks

Can't get enough of the Silks? Then here's the class for you. This intermediate class focuses exclusively on the straight fabric. Students will learn interesting climbs, stylish sequences, and exciting drops and power moves. A great way to take your fabric practice to the next level.

Prerequisites: Students should be able to climb multiple times and invert in the air. A few series worth of aerial experience is also highly recommended.

 

Intermediate - Advanced Silks

Silks, silks, and more silks! In this class we'll learn many sequences, drops, slides, and flips as we glide through the air. This class is designed for students who have experience in aerial. Let's climb the curtains and look cool doing it.

Prerequisites: Inverts and hip keys in the air. Multiple climbs. Must be comfortable with being in the silk for an extended period of time.

 

Intermediate Trapeze

This is an intermediate Trapeze class for experienced students. This class is a well-rounded combination of single trapeze moves, sequences, polishing fundamentals, and conditioning. For the first half of the series we will focus on building strength and the ability to sequence skills. The second half of the series student will work on adding and creating new moves. Throughout the series, the student will also be working on developing a routine that will be performed on the last day of class. Prerequisites: Students should be able to: tuck and hook knees, dolphin, be comfortable working on the bar and ropes, be comfortable supporting body weight on one arm.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga-real yoga in the air! Come feel the restorative healing effects that adding the hammock can provide as you practice your asanas in the air. The hammock supports us throughout our practice by helping us find our balance, provide space in a previously unavailable pose, or facilitating a deeper stretch. We can enjoy the many benefits of inversions that may not be available to us with the hammock’s support. And most importantly-it’s fun! Great for beginners and those with more experience as there will be plenty of options for those who have more experience as well as modifications for those who want a more gentle practice.

 

Flying Pole - Age 15 and up

The flying pole class explores all aspects of this unique aerial apparatus that both swings and spins. Students will focus on developing strong foundational moves and technique. Classes will consist of pole conditioning and instruction on pole moves. Students will learn how to combine moves and transitions and explore dance choreography both on the pole and floor. All students will be encouraged to find their own style and expression. No previous pole experience is required.
