Aerial Chains Workshop | Saturday April 25, 2026 - 7:15 - 8:45 pm

$45.00

Join us for a 90-minute deep dive into the world of Aerial Chains! In this workshop, students will learn individual skills and combine them into a beautiful, cohesive sequence. We will explore how this unique apparatus compares to the aerial hammock, prioritize safety throughout the session, and have a great time exploring an incredible piece of equipment. To ensure everyone gets personalized attention, this workshop is capped at 8–9 students max.

The "Pain Break" Approach

Because chains can be an intense and painful apparatus, ropes will be available as an alternative. This allows students to perform the same skills on a softer apparatus when their bodies need a break, ensuring you can keep moving and learning throughout the entire session.

Skills & Curriculum

We will cover a variety of dynamic and static movements, including:

Foundations: Entries, spinning, and spin entries.

Wraps: Splits and the "fruit-rollup/ballerina" skill (involving ankle and calf wraps).

Shapes: Variations of the X-back and an "angry diaper" variation into an "origami" backbend.

Drops (Time Permitting): We may explore a forward drop from angry diaper or a hip-key drop. Note: If we perform drops, the focus will be on the ropes. There will be a discussion and demonstration regarding the lack of "give" in chains compared to ropes.

Prerequisites

At least 2 sessions of experience in any aerial apparatus.

Ability to perform an X-back or a standing inversion.

What to Wear

To stay comfortable on the metal, we recommend the following attire:

Long sleeves and thick sweatpants.

Layers to adjust as you get warm.

Socks or trapeze boots are very helpful.

Fingerless gripping gloves are approved and encouraged!

Please note that there are no refunds or exchanges.

Guests: Due to capacity limits, no guests allowed, only those enrolled in classes or workshops.

For private lessons or parties, one adult guest may attend per group of minors.
